Information gathering in ad-hoc radio networks

چکیده
In the ad-hoc radio network model, nodes communicate with their neighbors via signals, without knowing topology of underlying digraph. We study information gathering problem, where each node has a piece called rumor , and objective is to transmit all rumors designated target node. For model any collision detection we provide an O ˜ ( n 1.5 ) deterministic protocol, significantly improving trivial bound 2 . also consider mild form detection, receives 1-bit acknowledgment if its transmission was received by at least one out-neighbor. this give protocol for in acyclic graphs.

Information Gathering in Ad-Hoc Radio Networks with Tree Topology
We study the problem of information gathering in ad-hoc radio networks without collision detection, focussing on the case when the network forms a tree, with edges directed towards the root. Initially, each node has a piece of information that we refer to as a rumor. Our goal is to design protocols that deliver all rumors to the root of the tree as quickly as possible. The protocol must complet...
متن کاملAcknowledged broadcasting in ad hoc radio networks
We consider ad hoc radio networks in which each node knows only its own identity but is unaware of the topology of the network, or of any bound on its size or diameter. Acknowledged broadcasting (AB) is a communication task consisting in transmitting a message from a distinguished source to all other nodes of the network and making this fact common knowledge among all nodes. To do this, the und...
متن کاملRouting in Cognitive Radio Ad-Hoc Networks
Cognitive Radio (CR) mitigates the problem of inefficient spectrum usage. Cognitive radio is based on Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA), through which unlicensed users can use the licensed spectrum band without causing harmful interference to the licensed users. However, this dynamic spectrum access increases designing of communication protocols in different layers. In this paper, I have presented ...
متن کاملAssessment of DSACC and QPART Algorithms in Ad Hoc Networks
The rapid advancement in wireless over wired has augmented the need for improving theQuality of Service (QoS) over such wireless links. However, the wireless ad hoc networkshave too low bandwidth, and establishing a QoS in these networks is a difficult issue. So,support of quality of service in ad hoc networks is the topical issue among the networkscience researchers. In this research we are go...
متن کاملGathering-based routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks
A gathering-based routing protocol (GRP) for mobile ad hoc networks is presented. The idea is to rapidly collect network information at a source node at an expense of a small amount of control overheads. The source node can equip promising routes on the basis of the collected information, thereby continuously transmitting data packets even if the current route is disconnected. It results in ach...
